Obsession

Like I promised, here's the little shoot I did of my coral & peaches outfit. As you may already be able to tell, I'm a little obsessed with coral-- on lips, clothes, whatever. It's like a self-tanner, sans the orange oompa loompa color, can't go wrong with that. Oh and as always, I had to sneak in some pics of my loves: the boyf, Charlie & my mug-ful of Butterbeer that I concocted last week (total success!). In case you're wondering, here's the recipe I used:


-bottle of vanilla cream soda
-1/2 cup of butterscotch syrup (icecream topping)
-1/2 tablespoon of butter
-1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk (optional since the above ingredients are already major sweeteners)


Microwave butterscotch syrup, butter and sweetened condensed milk for 1 1/2 minutes, remove and cool for 30 seconds. Pour in vanilla cream soda, mixture will begin to fizz quite a bit. Add cream soda as needed, and voila-- you have yourself a homemade Butterbeer. (Butterbeer mug not included)

Neon + Nude

Another outfit I wore for a birthday over the weekend, except I originally paired it with my Marc Jacob jeweled ankle straps. Here, I'm substituting it with my Aldo platforms, not sure I like the results hence the absence of a full body shot. Nonetheless, a little fun in the sun never hurt anyone (poetic, I know). Enjoy.. little sister & I are now going to make an attempt at butterbeer. xxo - Davee

what i wore to some birthday festivities over the weekend. i love unexpected details & all things sheer, that and the fact that it's made by one of my favorite designers (rachel roy) makes it a must-have. oh & don't mind the dirt (was kneeling to re-adjust the tripod) :( just think of it as another accessory! i didn't invite charlie to the photoshoot this time, but i think she's become accustomed to the limelight, #thattagirl!

corals, peaches & scallops

we had another Secrets Fashion Agency field trip, this time to support one of our favorite girls of all time-- Ms. Joan Erakit-Odima, style writer for Frank151 who was there to host the 'Guilty Simpson' show, showcasing some amazing dj's & hiphop artists. here are some snapshots my fave up & upcoming fashion photographer-- Melinda Guajardo (of SFA) took of me primarily tweeting up a storm. i'll post up pics from my own photoshoot w/this outfit some time later this week. sorry for the sudden leave of absence. my colleagues (Secrets Fashion Agency) & i have been busy putting together the finishing touches to our fashion show. 3 weeks and counting. eeeeek. & we have also just returned from SXSW's first ever, Style X event, where we met some amazing designers, other entrepreneurs, fashion reporters/bloggers and oh yeah, the amazing chloe dao (project runway winner season two)! seriously though, they really do live up to their reputation down there, because it was nothing but southern hospitality 247. as soon as the craziness from the fashion show is over, i promise to post pics up from austin & a new outfit post.
