so nice, i had to share this thrice. even after her reign at vogue paris came to an end, carine roitfeld continues to produce the illest ish. the latest being this fashion video from her new baby, CR fashion book. all rolled into one, 'entropy' showcases amazing clothes, a story and a bit of drama - with a twist at the end. best part? the soundtrack is childish gambino's 'zealots of stockholm'. ahhh, she clearly knows the way to my heart. #onheavyrotation

stylish wanderlusts rejoice - the long awaited opening of a freepeople brick & mortar mpls is finally here! the grand opening party happens tomorrow @10 AM. i'll be sneaking in beforehand to do a quick preview & possibly staying a bit later to get my hair braided at the blast blow dry braid bar. come join us for a little bit of shopping + pampering! first 50 customers will receive a swag bag chockful of FP goodies.

first off, just wanna give a shout-out to this pencil skirt that i bought almost a decade ago and fits me better today than it did then (as in, i can actually sit down without fear of busting the zipper open).

it's officially wedding season for me: i wore this ensemble to the first of four weddings i have to attend in the next couple months. turned out to be a great alternative to purchasing something new, because we all know i have neither the time to look or the funds for a new dress, much less four. for a prime reason why, consider: hoopty in the background. #youngbrokefabulous

I Was Blind, But Now I SEE.

dropped into SEE Eyewear for a store visit the other week. my exact words were, "i want something black and i can't do cat-eye." ultimately, i narrowed it down to the baby blue perforated frames + the all white cat-eyed frames. ironically enough, i am getting the white ones - the complete opposite of what i had intentions of leaving with when i walked in. though, i could've easily left with every single pair i tried on and then some! 

stop into their new location at 3032 hennepin ave in uptown & tell them i sent ya. guarantee you will fall in love with their one-of-a-kind frames, super affordable prices and stellar customer service (shoutout to ben, who was so sweet + picked out the cat eye glasses that i never thought i could pull off!). i'll be back to snag some sunnies (which are all $99 btw) before summer's end.

favorite segments from this year's glamorama were hands down weekend maxmara, rachel x rachel roy and tommy hilfiger. weekend had the best presentation complete with a faux rainstorm, rachel roy is easily the most fashion-forward + wearable right off the runway and tommy hilfiger's classic all-american styling i just can't help but appreciate. a little prep in the fall never hurts (cue alicia silverstone in clueless).

cirque du soleil never disappoints with their crazy acrobatic feats, but i also enjoyed the glow-in-the-dark breakdancers because i'm a 90's chic. and of course, ageless sheryl crow - whose signature rocker chic look never seems to go out of style. the cutie that stole the show though, was yvonne - this year's glamorama ambassador. oh and did i mention, cancer survivor, aspiring gymnast/dancer and just all-around amazing little gal? can't wait for next year's - i'm always up for fashion with a cause.

and this wouldn't be complete w/o a #wiw.
